Spurs got goals from Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura last week and did well to limit Man City to just two goals. It looks like they’re picking up where they left off last year, playing cohesively and with a certain level of joy reflecting their recent good fortunes. Still, though, it’s trophy or bust, with beating Arsenal along the way. (By the way, Spurs fans, guess where your team’s headed next Sunday?)

Newcastle has started the season with two losses in the Steve Bruce era. After starting the season keeping it close against Arsenal, it lost 3-1 last weekend to newly-promoted Norwich City. A loss at Spurs seems the most likely outcome, which would certain trigger fears among fans—long-suffering fans, to be fair—that Newcastle is heading toward relegation. A result would help stave that off for now. (But perhaps only for now.)

Sling TV provides two base channel package options, each priced at $25 per month. Sling Orange includes three ESPN channels, while Sling Blue includes sports channels like NBCSN (where many Premier League matches appear), NFL Network, FS1 and FS2, and local channels. To add beIN SPORTS and maximize your soccer-watching potential, you’ll want to add either Sports Extra: Sling Orange ($5 per month) or Sports Extra: Sling Blue ($10 per month). (The latter also includes NFL RedZone.)

Form

Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Manchester City came after a 3-1 win against Aston Villa on the opening weekend, when Tottenham needed a late comeback to avert what would have been a major upset.

Newcastle huffed and puffed but lost 1-0 to Arsenal in its first game of the season and looked hapless when losing 4-1 to Norwich City last week.

Team news

Spurs will be without new signing Ryan Sessegnon, who is still recovering from a thigh injury. Dele Alli also has a thigh injury and is unlikely to feature, while long-term absentee Juan Foyth remains out and Heung-Min Son is suspended.

Newcastle’s issues are made even worse by a packed treatment room. Jack Colback, Andy Carroll, Florian Lejeune, Christian Atsu and DeAndre Yedlin are all out, while new signing Joelinton, Dwight Gayle and Allan Saint-Maximin will be assessed before the game.

According to Oddschecker, Spurs are a 29/100 favorite (-350 in moneyline terms), while the draw is at 27/5 and Newcastle is a 45/4 outsider.
